This The Living Earth: Integrating Biology and Earth Science resource includes 6 units. Each unit begins with an anchoring phenomenon that is then investigated in a number of modules (investigative phenomena) that provide opportunities for students to observe, collaborate and explore.

Units include:

  2. History of the Earth’s atmosphere – Photosynthesis and respiration: Even plants have limitations
  3. Evidence of common ancestry and diversity: From the mammoth to the elephant
  4. Inheritance of traits: It’s in your genes
  5. Structure, function, and growth (from cells to organisms): Cells, the building blocks of life and health
  6. Ecosystem stability and the response to climate change: Taking Earth’s temperature
