IB Diploma Programme English A: Language and Literature

Natalia Font is the Lead Author of Kognity’s English A: Language and Literature book, where she helped design the scope and sequence and reviewed the wider author team’s work. As Kognity’s Senior User Experience Implementation Specialist, she works with the User Engagement team to help IB DP and IGCSE educators and students get more from the platform. She builds and refines training sessions using educator feedback. Natalia is also an Assessment Specialist at Cambridge Assessment International Education and an IB DP English Literature Examiner.

Dexter Haywood has spent the past decade teaching and shaping English language learning across Mexico, South Korea, and North America. He previously led the English Department at Colegio Suizo de México, guiding a team supporting students from primary through pre-university, redesigning curricula, and introducing new technologies aligned with international standards. He has since moved into digital publishing, writing and designing IB English content for Kognity that blends exam preparation with critical thinking and creativity. Dexter is an IB workshop facilitator and IB examiner, and also serves as a Pearson Edexcel Examiner.

Rebecca Markham is Leader of Learning: Language and Literature at International School Ho Chi Minh City, having taught English Language & Literature and Theory of Knowledge across UK state, independent, and international schools. She has authored IB courses for Kognity and has served as Extended Essay Coordinator, DEI Coordinator, TOK Coordinator, and Head of Year. Rebecca has been an IB English Examiner since 2021 and facilitates workshops at international teaching conferences.
