Learning & Connecting: Highlights from Engage Mexico City 2024
In February 2024, Kognity had the pleasure of hosting our second Engage event in the vibrant city of Mexico City at Humanitree’s new Hive & Flight campus. This gathering was a true testament to the power of the IB community and the value of in-person connection. It was a celebration of learning, innovation, and community, and we’re excited for what’s next as we continue supporting educators worldwide.
A Growing Community
Engage Mexico City brought together 104 attendees from 19 schools—double the number of educators who joined us the previous year. This growth reflects the increasing value of these events, which aim to build a strong community of educators. The event’s bilingual nature, with live translation available during keynotes, ensured inclusivity for both English and Spanish-speaking participants.
Diverse and Engaging Workshops
The day featured 11 diverse workshops covering topics such as inquiry-led learning, creativity in the IB classroom, and AI’s role in education and in designing learning experiences, followed by thought-provoking keynotes on empowering the next generation of learners.
A major highlight was Sophie Murten’s popular Kognity session, where attendees built their confidence in leveraging the Kognity platform’s tools to deepen student engagement and save teachers time.
