Webinar: ESS Internal Assessment: An alternative approach (secondary data based)
The main aim of this webinar is to introduce a range of data collection possibilities for Internal Assessments based on secondary data collection. In view of the growing number of us that have to teach through the digital medium, we may need to consider giving our students the opportunity to do the ES&S data collection early and digitally.
About the host: Gillian Williams
Gillian Williams is Senior Examiner and Team Leader for ESS paper 1, and previously an Examiner for the internal assessment. She has taught IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies, Geography and ToK internationally for 27 years. Gillian has also been an advisor on the IB ESS Curriculum Review, a Workshop Leader, part of the IB Global Mentoring Team, and a co-author of several IB textbooks and revision tools, including Kognity’s ESS and Geography books. She has held various leadership position including Deputy Head, Head of Year and Head of Department. Gillian is currently teaching at Keystone Academy Beijing.
