Webinar: Transforming your teaching for a digital classroom

The Associate Head of School, the Director of Digital and Innovative Learning, and a Teacher from Keystone Academy in Beijing explains their strategies for transforming into a digital school and training teachers to be online instructors as a result of Coronavirus policies. They also offer practical advice and tips for adapting your teaching based on their experiences.

About the hosts

Lili Jia is a passionate teacher and educator with more than 27 years of experience. Lili has been working with the IB program for over 20 years and she is currently a MYP and DP workshop leader with over 13 years of teacher training experience. She is also a MYP and DP field representative, DP senior examiner, DP Authorization School Visiting Team leader and consultant.

Sandra Chow is Director of Innovation and Digital Learning at Keystone Academy, Beijing. Sandra has taught in multiple grades and positions in Canada & Taiwan, and loves co-learning with other educators wherever she goes. She co-hosts a podcast called GlobalEdTour – exploring what education looks like around the world. She’s an Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Innovator and Trainer and one of the Google Geo EDU Advisory Board Leaders.

Kirk McCullough began his teaching career by taking his mechanical engineering training to rural Africa where he imparted his STEM skills to local science teachers for two years. He continued his career in Laos where he worked as a teacher for three years in an international school. Now Kirk is a Math and Science teacher in Beijing and is working to start a MakerSpace program to help students develop their technical skills and love of learning. He is interested in innovation and the role of technology in education.
