Worksheet: AI Tracker for Students
Guide your IB students towards safe and productive AI use—and get visibility into what they’re using.
The key to students leveraging AI tools in a way that deepens their understanding is for them to use AI as thought partner. This means taking time to reflect on the answers that AI tools generate to verify that they are factually correct, but also being mindful of the use that they are making of AI in a broader sense. Without guidance, it’s easy for students to come to rely on AI too heavily without even recognising that they are doing so.
Following on from our AI Dos and Don’ts, we’ve created a tool specifically for this purpose: an AI tracker worksheet for students to fill in every time they use an AI tool to assist in an assignment or task. This will give you visibility into the use they are making of AI, while guiding them towards best practices and encouraging metacognitive reflection. A win-win to ensure that the use of AI in your classroom is both safe and productive.
