In 2024, Kognity reached new heights in transforming education and digital learning. From expanding our global footprint to enhancing our platform capabilities, here are the key milestones that defined our year.
Developing the Kognity platform
The Kognity platform saw significant growth in 2024. Our product team has been hard at work to enhance your Kognity experience, improving course content and streamlining workflows based on feedback from educators. These enhancements include the integration of advanced AI technology to optimize processes and boost content quality, delivering even greater value globally.
IB DP Product Updates
New IB DP Environmental Systems & Societies
As the IB’s only digital-first publishing partner, we launched the new IB DP Environmental Systems & Societies course, developed by leading subject experts. The course focuses on conceptual learning, holistic understanding, and critical thinking.
Expanded and Enhanced IB Diploma Programme Courses
In collaboration with the IB, we’ve updated our Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Business Management courses. These updates feature expanded content and enhanced assessments, designed to support student learning.
Ecosystem Integrations for Effective Teaching
Kognity now integrates seamlessly with top Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Google, Schoology, and Microsoft Teams. Teachers can set assignments, use IB-approved exam-style questions, and provide instant feedback for multiple classes.
US High School Science Product Updates
New Earth and Space Science Course
Kognity’s new Earth and Space Science course, aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), incorporates the latest research and data to empower impactful teaching. The course is designed to support educators of all experience levels, offering expert guidance and resources to reduce prep time.
Enhanced Physics Curriculum
We’ve expanded our Physics curriculum to include a new introductory module and a Driving Question Board. These updates enhance phenomena-based learning, fostering student-driven inquiry and scientific exploration.
Assignment improvements
Teachers can now send assignments to multiple classes simultaneously, automatically assign tasks to new students, and choose when feedback is displayed (immediately after each question, after all questions, or not at all).
Enhanced Content Filtering
Our new category content filtering within each high school science class overview page helps teachers quickly access the most relevant resources for their specific needs, streamlining lesson planning.
Streamlined LMS Integrations
Integration with Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, and Microsoft Teams is now faster and more seamless than ever. These improvements minimize time spent on administrative tasks, enabling teachers to focus on delivering impactful learning experiences.

Engage Conferences
Kognity’s Engage conferences have continued to grow as a global hub for educators to connect, share ideas, and collaborate on improving digital education.
The year kicked off with Engage Uganda at the Aga Khan High School in Kampala, where IB and IGCSE educators gathered for insightful workshops and networking opportunities.
Following this success, Engage Mexico City took place at Humanitree’s Hive & Flight campus, drawing over 100 attendees from 19 schools for bilingual sessions on fostering creativity, addressing leadership challenges, and engaging students.
The series wrapped up in Indonesia, marking another milestone in Kognity’s commitment to empowering educators worldwide through innovation and community.
IB Global Conferences
Kognity continued to support the IB community with engaging sessions at the IB Global Conferences in Daegu, Washington DC and Budapest. Delegates joined our breakout sessions, led by expert IB coordinators and workshop leaders, who shared actionable strategies to enhance the IB DP experience and ensure long-term success.
NSTA National Conferences
Kognity was proud to be part of the National Science Teaching Association National Conferences, where we connected with passionate educators and took part in insightful discussions about the future of science education.
Our booth was buzzing with meaningful conversations, and attendees enjoyed a variety of inspiring workshops, including a standout session led by our very own Sasha Ferreira.
Awards and Recognition
Kognity received some great recognition in 2024! Our High School Science platform was a finalist for the SIIA CODiE Awards in the ‘Best Science Instructional Solution for Grades 9-12’ category, out of hundreds of nominations. We were also finalists in the EdTech Cool Tool Awards in both the ‘Curriculum and Instruction Solution’ and ‘Science Solution’ categories. In addition to this, TIME Magazine named Kognity among the top 250 world’s leading educational tech companies.
Real Stories, Real Impact: Feedback from Educators
We’re incredibly proud that over half of the world’s IB DP students use Kognity and in 2024, we heard countless stories highlighting its impact.
For instance, Leanne Gibbons from Impington International College shared how Kognity’s alignment with the IB curriculum significantly reduces teacher workload. Philippa Dell at Southbank International School emphasized its support for multilingual learners.
